Veal Community Center.Ahead of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday and nationwide holiday, the Edison Recreation Department held an early community event to commemorate his life on Saturday afternoon.
Acting Director of Recreation Joyce Fircha kicked the event off by welcoming residents and elected officials. Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Rev. Tom Cully delivered an invocation, and the Cub Scout Pack 66-Den #3 led the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Maybe to honor MLK, no one will be out this weekend killing on all of the MLK Blvds in NJ particularly Jersey City! Also, maybe the lefty politicians won’t race bait for a weekend either where they love to judge everyone by their pedigrees!
