The fund that helps bankroll state highway, bridge and transit projects got a $600 million funding infusion Wednesday from the state legislature.’s spending limitation by $600 million to bring it to an intended annual levels of $2 billion by fiscal year 2024.
If the measure is signed by Gov. Phil Murphy, the increase would offset an additional $600 million investment that was made in fiscal year 2021, to capitalize on extremely low traffic levels during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
