Details on eligibility for the $325 million program have not yet been released

The money will come from $325 million in federal money as part of the American Rescue Plan. Registration to apply for the money will begin on Feb. 8.

“Under this new program, eligible homeowners can receive up to $35,000 to cover mortgage arrearages, delinquent property taxes, and other housing cost delinquencies for those who were negatively impacted by the pandemic,” Murphy said during his regular COVID-19 briefing. “This can help protect thousands of homeowners from foreclosures and neighborhoods from being impacted,” he said.Be a New Jersey homeowner with a demonstrated COVID-19-related financial hardship occurring after January 20, 2020.Have an income below 150% of their Area Median Income.
