A 60-year-old woman died shortly after being found slumped over the steering wheel of her vehicle on the side of a road in Middletown last week, officials said.
Carol Calvano, of Middletown, was unresponsive when police were called to the area of Wilson Avenue and Collinson Drive just after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Middletown police said. Police performed CPR on Calvano before emergency workers brought her to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead minutes later.
There was no evidence that Calvano struck either another vehicle or a fixed object, according to police.A Fair Lawn High School graduate, Calvano worked for more than 20 years as Director of Customer Service at Schuman Cheese, a cheese manufacturer, in Fairfield, Essex County.
