Of the many outrageous allegations revealed by federal prosecutors in the college cheating scandal, one stands out. Someone paid $6.5 million to get his or her children into elite schools. But his or her identity remains a mystery.

More than 750 parents used Singer’s services, according to prosecutors. While 33 have been charged, prosecutors have sent subpoenas to high schools in Southern California with names of students whose parents have not been charged,, according to sources who have seen the documents.

Singer sent the girl’s admissions application to Yale women’s soccer coach Rudy Meredith, along with her art portfolio, and told Meredith he would change the materials from art to soccer. At the start of the new year, Singer sent Meredith, who had coached the Yale soccer team for more than two decades, a check for $400,000, drawn on the Key Worldwide Foundation charity account.. Prosecutors say he solicited $450,000 from another parent, who had previously been charged with securities fraud and promptly gave up the coach’s offer, eventually wearing a concealed microphone during a payoff meeting with Meredith in April 2018.

O'Rourke reports massive $6.1M fundraising haul in first 24 hours of campaignFormer Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke raised $6.1 million dollars in the first 24 hours after launching his presidential campaign, crushing the first day hauls of many of his Democratic competitors Non-rhetorical question: was the money raised mostly from large or small donors? I really hope it's large donors. The idea of regular people donating to Beto O'Rourke is depressing as fuck. 'Beto O’Rourke raised $6.1 million in the first 24 hours' without talking a word about national agenda;s or policies. Rich, White, used a Hispanic name for recognition even those he’s Irish and wants his balls washed by a cow. He’s perfect for the Dems

Indonesian airline cancels Boeing order, citing passenger fearIndonesian airline Garuda plans to cancel a $6 billion order for Boeing 737 MAX ... Boeing will learn from their mistakes and customers will return. After all, how many companies out there build airliners like Boeing makes? Accidents happen. 2 in a row with software and training issues already identified, it's criminal. I’m with these passengers. No thank you. The thing I find most repulsive, and all these companies do it, is they refused to take the threat seriously and ground their own planes and investigate. They had to be forced.

Pundit goes there: A Woman with Beto’s resume would be out of luckDemocratic candidate for President, Beto O’Rourke, has taken the lead in the fundraising primary, raising $6 million in his first day on the campaign trail. Campaign Director at the Center for American Progress, Juanita Tolliver, tells Ari Melber that Beto O’Rourke may be a fundraising frontrunner, but he has made key errors and is “being given multiple chances” that “people of color and women are not typically afforded”. Amazing that CNBC has reported most of this money likely came from bundlers and wall street insiders......no mention of that in this article. Poor journalism. This is why he wont release the full figures of average donations and amount of donors. Also he hasnt named one policy Another lame “storyline” from journalists who should know better.
