MyKayla Skinner to compete in vault finals at Olympics: 'It’s go time baby!'

USA Gymnastics shared a statement on Twitter Friday announcing Biles’ decision to withdraw from the event finals for the vault and uneven bars.

“She will continue to be evaluated daily to determine whether to compete in the finals for floor exercise and balance beam,” the statement read in part. “MyKayla Skinner, who had the fourth highest score in vault during qualifications, will compete in vault finals for the U.S. alongsideAfter further consultation with medical staff, Simone Biles has decided to withdraw from the event finals for vault and the uneven bars.

She improved so much on that vault. There is a reason so few people in the world can do that vault... it is fucking hard. People can say what they want about her but she really improved, peaked at the right time, and hit when it mattered.

Andrade also did well and Seo was adorable at how happy she was!

She worked really hard to get to this point! I’m so happy for her!! I am gutted for Jade (And Myk keeping a subdued response to her medal in front of Jade was very respectable). I’m also impressed because she had to vault first and keep a score that everyone was chasing.

Hate and understand that Simone_Biles can’t compete but loving MyKayla is getting this chance.

It's 11:38pm in Tokyo right now & it's dark as can be with the moon up in the sky. But here in Colorado it's 8:38am with the sun shining bright up in the sky. And this can't happen on a flat circled earth, this can only happen if a sphere shaped earth is spinning around & around!
