SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary My Hero Academia's biggest villain, All For One, has made an unexpected return and his new character design is more menacing than ever. Although fans had assumed All For One was dead when he rewinded himself out of existence back in chapter #410, the latest chapter reveals All For One has managed to come back, and his new appearance is a callback to one of Shigaraki's earliest designs.

That said, the chapter reveals that there is still an ember of Shigaraki that is still rebelling against All For One in the form of a constant scream ringing in the background as All For One speaks. Thus, All For One forms a hand and places it over Shigaraki's mouth to silence the scream, completing his all-new frightening persona.

In that regard, All For One's newest design may be the best one he's ever gotten. His new emaciated body with the intense look in his eyes finally matches his boundless charisma and gives him a sense of presence on the battlefield worthy of the threat he poses. All For One may have gone down pathetically when readers last saw him, but his new appearance instantly conveys that he means business and that he is very much a real threat.

Of course, it was later revealed that it was All For One himself who gave Shigaraki the embalmed hands of his dead family members and other people he had killed. This was all part of All For One's plan to turn Shigaraki into the perfect vessel for him to use and to help foster his hatred. All For One's own obsession with severed hands is explored in chapter #407 and chapter #408, which reveal how All For One similarly kept Yoichi's hand that he had cut off himself.
