A law enforcement officer was shot in the head and at least two others injured during a pursuit in Georgia early on Monday morning, according to reports.
NewsTalk 1330 WLBB said that the Georgia State Patrol began pursuing a vehicle in Bremen at around 4 a.m. Shots were fired and an officer was hit in the head, the station reported. The officer was life-flighted to an Atlanta area hospital, WLBB said, and he was reportedly"able to talk."The chase ended in the Carroll County near Ithaca off Highway 61 and Flat Rock Road, Ashley Hulsey, a spokesperson for the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, said.
Multiple agencies became involved as the chase entered Carroll County, including the sheriff's office and police in Carrollton and Villa Rica, Hulsey said, via theHulsey told 11 Alive that two Carroll County deputies were injured by gunfire. A third officer was injured, but it was not clear which department they belonged to.
