FILE - In this Oct. 3, 2017 file photo, Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe during a meeting with South African President Jacob Zuma at the Presidential Guesthouse in Pretoria, South Africa. On Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa said his predecessor Robert Mugabe, age 95, has died.
Singapore’s Foreign Ministry later said he died Friday at the Gleneagles Hospital there, saying it was working with Zimbabwe on arrangements for Mugabe’s body to be flown home. Mugabe had received medical treatment at the hospital in recent years. “They are the ones who say they gave Christianity to Africa,” Mugabe said of the West during a visit to South Africa in 2016. “We say: ‘We came, we saw and we were conquered.’”
After the fighting between black guerrillas and the white rulers of Rhodesia, as Zimbabwe was then known, ended, Mugabe reached out to whites. The self-declared Marxist stressed the need for education and built new schools. Tourism and mining flourished, and Zimbabwe was a regional breadbasket. Amid the political turmoil, the economy of Zimbabwe, traditionally rich in agriculture and minerals, deteriorated. Factories were closing, unemployment was rising and the country abandoned its currency for the U.S. dollar in 2009 because of hyperinflation.

After he was oust, his obvious disconnection from the power led to his final demise. This Wii always be the case of men like Yowere Musoveni, Paul Biya and their like who are afraid of their shadows and will prefer to die or expire in power.
Wisco
Man, Koch and Mugabe in one year. Nice.
A major factor in that was that both China and the USSR+satellite state leaders intentionally opted to not seem like colonizers. Only when arriving in Europe for guest work have African citizens face that it too was propaganda.
BUT DEAR Associated Press ! O THAT ALL MEN MAY KNOW THAT, IT'S APPOINTED UNTO MAN TO DIE- ONCE AND AFTER THAT JUDGEMENT.THEREFORE, A MAN SHOULD REPENT AND SEEK THE LORD WHILE HE'S ALIVE AND THE LORD IS NEAR , FOR THERE'S NO-ROOM FOR REPENTANCE AFTER DEATH.
Jaques Mallet du Pan coined the adage “like Saturn, the Revolution devours its children” originally: “A l’exemple de Saturne, la révolution dévore ses enfants” in his 1793 essay Considérations sur la nature de la Révolution de France, et sur les causes qui en prolongent la durée.

Stop peddling hogwash ! The entire African continent is mourning the passing of a great liberation icon. Only the Imperialists in the West revile Robert Mugabe. Africa is united in praises for him.
One of the worst people on earth. True scum. I hope he found it in himself to repent before his death otherwise judgement will not be kind to him.

May God rest his soul
Nobody should be in power for 37 years. It's undemocratic and it fosters nepotism, croneyism and corruption. And very elderly rulers are generally out of touch with reality or being manipulated by others.
Hallelujah! One day, this may be a national holiday in Rhodesia.
He thought if he had long life, life would favor him no matter what he did to others...I'm living to 116 years young or eternity pharma, whichever comes closest to life
