Creditors of defunct crypto exchange Mt. Gox have until a Jan. 10 deadline to register and open an exchange account to receive a disbursement. The years-long wait for creditors of the long-defunct bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox may be one step closer to completion, according to a memo.
"The deadline for Selection and Registration is January 10, 2023 ; any creditor who wishes to receive Repayment must complete Selection and Registration on the System by such deadline," the translated memo reads. Distribution would not occur on Jan. 10, stressed a source familiar with the situation, who expects distribution to occur sometime next year. A majority of creditors approved alast November, and in a public letter dated Oct. 4, Kobayashi announced court approval of amendments to the rehabilitation plan.
odd that the article doesn't reference the base repayment deadline of 7/31/23
'next year' makes it seem like its so far away i guess
🚀 Thanksss a millon!

Federal prosecutors say city and NYPD have duty to keep NYC sidewalks clear for pedestriansThe new filing from Manhattan federal prosecutors, which could have broad implications for parking enforcement, comes in a suit brought by disabled residents of a Bronx neighborhood who say the NYPD and other city agencies refuse to enforce parking laws. I sent this to 311 a bit ago after a person in a wheelchair was struggling to get around due to these cars being parked here. What are the broad implications? Are there any ongoing suits? Can a suit be brought in federal court if a vehicle is illegally parked for some time after the police have been notified? It's not like giving a free pass to a car parked where it's not supposed to be, because it has a toy badge or neon vest, or handwritten note on the dashboard, is a terror risk or something. In the city where 9/11 happened.
