Adil Ahmed, 56, of Middletown, was driving an SUV that collided with a pickup truck on Route 35 near the intersection with Rector Place shortly after 10 a.m., according to Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office spokesman Mark SpiveyThe driver of the pickup, a 63-year-old Long Branch man, was not seriously injured and cooperated with investigators.
The crash remains under investigation, Spivey said, and no charges had been filed as of Sunday morning.
