She said they were exhausted when they finally boarded their flight home to Manchester, New Hampshire. Shortly after Davis took her seat she said the flight attendant informed her and her"overtired" son that if she could not get him to wear a face covering they would be asked to leave the aircraft."It was very cold and cruel," fellow passenger Taylor Cournoyer said.
"I don't know what you want me to do to keep the mask on him," Davis said through tears in the video."What do you want me to do -- duct tape his face? He's 2 years old, he doesn't get it!", but the policy has come under scrutiny as more stories of mothers being kicked off flights surface.
This policy should be changed. Two years old is toddler age. Too young to understand about the wearing of masks. The age should be 4 years old and above.

Am I the only one that read “2 years old”? How the hell are you supposed to teach a 2 year old to wear a mask? It’s not like the pandemic has been around for 2 years. And in my state 2 year olds aren’t required to wear masks.
anyone on a plane who breathes oxygen needs to mask up. the virus spreads thru the air. the main way you get it is by breathing it in. if for some reason a 2 yo can't wear a mask, maybe the age limit for flying should be set at 2.5 or 3.

This 'wear a mask' battle now goes to long. I mean, a two years old child doesn't offer risk just because he isn't wearing a mask. A mask in him would be like placebo. America is getting sick in all levels.
Wow.. lots of people without children commented here. He is 2. More likely to not be compliant than to be compliant. I recall having to forcefully sit on my toddler to get her in the car seat on a plane. She never would have kept a mask on.

Why are these parents caught so off guard by these rules? When I fly I constantly have to google weight/size limits for carry on and figure out which perfume bottles I can bring with me. During a pandemic perhaps its best to google the rules before getting on board.
Everyone writing things like “make it a game, make him wear the mask” has undoubtedly never had a two year old.
Traveling with a small child is hard as it is, but most parents anticipate this and prepare. The responsibility lies with her, although I am not without sympathy.
I have a two year old grandson that I worked with to convince him he looks “cool” in his mask. He has a Tiger mask that we purchased on amazon. Now we can’t get the mask off him. Let them have a say in what they will wear, don’t force an aseptic mask on them and expect miracles.
If the parent hasn't taught the child then the parent is at fault and they're putting others at risk so yes, they should be removed from the a/c.

8 years ago I would have told her to get her kids in line. Today, 2 kids later, I’d personally escort her and her family off the plane and try to comfort her. 2 years old? GTFOH with that mask stuff.
