An Associated Press analysis finds most states are not meeting the minimum levels of coronavirus testing even as many begin to reopen their economies.

As more states begin to relax their coronavirus lockdowns, most are falling short of the minimum levels of testing suggested by the federal government and recommended by a variety of public health researchers, an Associated Press analysis has found.

A testing blueprint released last week by the Trump administration lacked any metrics state officials could use to make informed decisions. Instead, the document made clear that states were responsible for testing, saying the federal government is the “supplier of last resort.” States that do not meet the administration’s testing guidance, based on their current screening rates, include some that have been moving into the early stages of reopening, such as Colorado, South Carolina and Texas. Georgia, which has moved aggressively to ease restrictions and lift its stay-at-home order, is just under the 2% threshold.

Many experts already say the national testing rate falls short of what is needed to safely ease social distancing guidelines.Researchers at Harvard have calculated that the U.S. needs to be testing roughly 500,000 people per day before considering easing restrictions this month. That’s a nearly 150% increase from the recent daily tally of about 200,000 tests.

This is crazy, 'Former CDC director Tom Frieden has recommended double the current testing levels. He said the U.S. should be testing, at min 400,000 people a day.' Friedman (as did big backer, China) pushed for WHO to elect Tedros as their director.

Hey LAT's - very curious. During last global/national pandemic, the Swine flu 2009-2010, how many tests were conducted in the US during that 12 month period? I know they are not the same, eventually Obama called it a 'national emergency,' though not as quickly as did Trump.

'South Korea, a country praised for its aggressive testing.' SK, pop of 51.6 mil. US, pop of 328.2. US has 6.4 X's the pop. Per John Hopkins - tests: SK, 619,881. US, 6,816,347 US has conducted 11 X's a many as has S Korea Once the national media has latched onto a view . .

What is the MSM's fascination with testing numbers? Let's say I have no virus signs. And I get tested on Monday and I'm told I DON'T have the China virus. But Tuesday I go to the store for milk and bread and I become infected. Question: What good was the test I did on Monday?

But, but, but Trump's guidelines..

AP: Most states fall short of coronavirus testing thresholdsATLANTA (AP) — As more states begin to relax their coronavirus lockdowns, most are falling short of the minimum levels of testing suggested by the federal government and recommended by a variety... Probably because it's better to just deal with it if it happens than keeping cooped up to prevent it from happening. Also probably because more people are probably getting wise to the fact this isnt because of the virus. So interesting - Here in Arizona access to tests has been abysmal - or downright impossible. Now things seem slightly better and guess who is coming to visit our great state - wonder if there is a connection?

That should be one of the most obvious reports but I fear it will be downplayed by some states. That’s odd. We all have enough for phase one per the governor’s meetings. Every state. When we’re close to phase two we’ll have enough for that phase. AP has been nonstop spewing propaganda. Not news. The hospitals will be full of back to workers
