It has been continually active since then, except during World War II, mostly as an Italian Navy training vessel. The ship will be in San Pedro from Wednesday, July 3, to July 8. In addition to free tours of the nearly 100-year-old ship, there will be music, food, film, photo exhibits and more, all aimed at celebrating “La vita e bella,” Italian for “Life is beautiful.”
