Morning rain ending, sunshine coming later today

Red Oak creek overflows, Tuesday, April, 5, 2022 near Blue Ridge, Texas. A storm rolled through the town of less than 850 people Monday night.Overnight showers and thunderstorms will push out early this morning. Before they end, a flooding threat continues. Be on the lookout for high water on the roads. The rain should be over by mid-morning.

Sunshine is expected later today with a high in the low 90s this afternoon. A slight drop in humidity will make it a little more bearable. This slight drop will be brief though. The heat and humidity will ramp back up toward the weekend with the heat index over 100.While Wednesday afternoon and Thursday will be dry, low storm chances return for Friday. Sunday through next Tuesday will also have the potential for rounds of storms, along with several dry hours each day.
