Companies with female directors are more likely to quickly recall dangerous products, researchers say

One reason the plot of “A Christmas Story” works so well is that it is centered on a familiar maternal instinct.

Unlike obviously dangerous products like the Red Ryder carbine action 200-shot range model air rifle Ralphie covets, many supposedly safe products turn out not to be. A group of researchers found that the presence of female board directors made it much more likely that companies do something about that.

That’s exactly why we are desperate for female leaders - IF they cud ever punch thru the line.....making the world less violent - bring it on - buff up gals!

why does everything have to be about gender

Interesting but not important. Females are just another cog in the corporate chain. Kind of hard to believe this distinction is even being made.

Who are the researchers?

Maybe. But let's see if they recall Joe Biden?!? metoo

Fewer lawsuits as well.

Simple explanation: Women are more risk averse. They don’t do that Wild West cowboy shit.

I hate this movie the boy is a liar liar pants on fire

Are you guys A/B testing?

This sounds like a bad sexist and baseless journalism. Go back to school and learn to show the data.

Companies with female directors are more likely to be shut down for 5-7 days a month, researchers say.

And who determines what products are considered 'dangerous,' may I ask?

No cartoons. No toys. No playgrounds. No sports. No fun. Bubble wrap you child and raise a Woos.

No risk. No reward.

Yeah, it’s that zero-risk society, which right now is biting us all in the ass!

They are somewhat right,

The production line could be safer too

Dangerous but not defective correct. Excellent rationale for NOT having female directors as they are risk adverse and emotional in their decision making process.

That is the difference between a mother and a wealthy inseminator.

Congratulations for image selection.

😂😂😂

Perfect photo!

Awesome! Safer products for me, sounds great!

Of course. Females are nurturers by nature. We are the ones that bring life into the world, and therefore we typically care more about it

I won’t shoot my eye out

DICKS is a fine example of a Moron ruining a company. Just buying golf clubs is dealing with very unhappy uninformed people. DemocratsHateAmericans

More boring the life is.

Really?

Tell me something new

Those motherly instincts might get them fired.

You can't build a world without danger. The moral path is to foster people who are competently able to manage hazards.

Guess WSJ is run by a guy

Yeah right. Wait and see

A lot of great things could be dangerous. I don’t think women are that risk averse.

Do tell...

Now if we can more into construction, then EVERY job site in America will have a porta-John... ha ha ha..

How about all the gals running the military industrial complex these days? so brave!

“You’ll shoot your eye out, kid”

Yes. Thank you for identity politics of division WSJ during a pandemic. You must be proud of yourselves.

Oh vey. Not you too, 😔

So their products are less fun?

In all our work on ethics, the more diverse the better the ethics. The reverse is sadly true...

MColetteK Because men are most likely to be sociopaths and narcissists. Women are more suited to lead companies.

Such buzzkills.

FakeNewsAlert

With the picture of a boy with a rifle as the lead... 🙄 I don't even need to read the article at this point to know it's slanted

Women just don't know how to have fun.

women are just as greedy as men so i highly doubt this

The exception being the weapons manufacturers.. 'As of Jan. 1, (2019) the CEOs of 4 of the nation's 5 biggest defense contractors — Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics and the defense arm of Boeing — are now women.'

Fortunately, Americans have Freedom of Choice!

This is an amazing discovery. Women are a gift to mankind.

More female oppressors 3

Duffy's Essay on Her Rape & 4-Week Abduction Examines What Women Face After Coming ForwardAt the end of February, Welsh singer Duffy posted a single black and white image onto her Instagram page with a long caption, revealing that she disappeared from the public eye because she was “raped and drugged and held captive over some days.” On Sunday night, she published a long essay giving more detail to the harrowing events that transpired—she writes that was drugged on her birthday at a restaurant, kidnapped and drugged for an additional four weeks and then trafficked to a foreign country, where she was raped before the assailant brought her back home—as well as how she felt in the aftermath.
