Waukesha Police Chief Daniel Thompson said at an evening press conference that 11 adults and 12 children were among those struck by the vehicle.
Senior law enforcement officials say investigators are looking into whether the driver was fleeing an alleged crime that took place before the SUV reached the parade just after 4:30 p.m. local time.An officer opened fire at the vehicle in an attempt to stop it, the chief said, and no one was injured. The vehicle was recovered, Thompson said.
A FBI spokesperson said tthat he bureau was aware of the event but that local authorities would lead the inquiry.Mayor Shawn Reilly said at an arlier press conference that it was"a traumatic situation for the city of Waukesha."

Can't believe what MSNBC TV is reporting. Saying the parade assassin was fleeing a stabbing scene and just so happened to run into a parade route only 1 hour away from Kenosha, Wisconsin days after the verdict. They are so delusional & hellbent on framing this as not BLM violence
