ARLINGTON, Texas—Andrew Friedman endured plenty of criticism throughout his tenure running the Los Angeles Dodgers for refusing to chase the splashiest free agents on the market despite the enormous budget at his disposal.
He declined to retain pitchers Zack Greinke and Yu Darvish. He sat out the sweepstakes for sluggers Bryce Harper and Manny Machado. He missed on Gerrit Cole, Stephen Strasburg and Anthony Rendon, as the pressure for the Dodgers to snap their championship drought grew.

Don’t get me wrong, he had a very impressive game. But those seem like very random stats to be the first player in mlb history to do. It’s like if they declared me the first person in history to run down the sidewalk, juggling two pumpkins, while eating a lasagna.
Sucks that he left the Red Sox, but not surprising that he's coming up big on the biggest stage.

This has made my husband, a lifelong Dodgers fan, very happy. One of the few highlights of 2020.
