After a nanny camera captured a Utah man repeatedly sexually assaulting his severely disabled, several people have rallied to become her voice after she passed away from an apparent seizure. A family from Montana heard about Ashley Vigil 's story and drove all the way to Utah to speak out, saying if their pleas for help had been listened to, then Brian Urban could have been stopped.
On the day of Urban's sentencing, dozens of people gathered outside the West Jordan Third District Court. They rallied in support of Ashley.One mom drove from Montana to be at the rally — Paula S. doesn't want her last name to be shared. She said she met Brian Urban back in the '90s."We moved to Iowa in '96, and then we got married that following spring," she said.
Paula S.'s daughter, Kyrsten, remembered hearing Urban's truck pulling into the driveway when he got home from work.“There were many occasions where Brian would touch my breasts,” she said. “There was an occasion where I woke up with Brian in between my legs . . . It didn’t stop until I left home at 19."“Brian muddied a lot of the water our entire childhood,” she said.“He played all three of us,” Kyrsten said.
“I filed in 2017, when I finally came forward and shared with my husband what happened to me,” Alysa said. “Months and months and months of 'we can’t get in contact with Mr. Urban, Mr. Urban won’t answer his phone, and Mr. Urban won’t answer the door when we came to the house.'”
