Lewinsky's comment is in reference to Beyoncé's 2014 single"Partition," in which she refers to Lewinsky by name, in connection to her infamous relationship with Bill Clinton in the mid-'90s.
On Monday, one Twitter user asked Lewinsky if she'd ever actually reached out to Beyonce or her reps about the lyric. no, i haven’t. i did mention it in the first vanity fair article i wrote in 2014… which was the first public thing i’d done in 10 years. but you make an interesting/fair point…As for Beyoncé's change to"Heated," it comes in the wake of backlash from the disabled community over her use of the word"spazz."
On Monday, writer and disability advocate Hannah Diviney -- who has cerebral palsy -- wrote a piece for “Beyoncé’s commitment to storytelling musically and visually is unparalleled, as is her power to have the world paying attention to the narratives, struggles and nuanced lived experience of being a black woman – a world I can only ever understand as an ally, and have no desire to overshadow,” Diviney writes.
Plagiarism, hate speech, and attacking others. What else did Beyonce put on this album? Guess she forgot her religion while recording...
I still can’t believe Monica Lewinsky is making money off of giving a president a blow job. I can’t take her seriously at all. (And don’t think for a minute I don’t blame Bill Clinton equally). But at least he’s not making a career off of it. Get a real job, Monica.
Monica ruined America. We would be living in 2050 if she left bill alone
ok now you're doing too much Monica...you did it, let it go. No lyrics will remove what you did. Now get out of the music biz and forge your own way past it
Why does have everyone have to be sensitive and butt hurt. You say or think something that doesn't align with some else one is vilified or canceled because of it. Life is tough, life is not always going be easy, and not everyone is going to be nice. Toughen up and keep it moving.
While we're at it, why dont we eliminate the name Roxanne too. She didnt have to put on the red light and walk the streets for money.
