Martin Luther King Jr. — said it was important for her to spend the day doing something for others. Something tangible, she said, something beyond a cursory recitation of “I Have a Dream.

“Dr. King said we can all be great because we can all serve,” he said, before welcoming a moderator to the stage for a panel discussion called “A Seat at the Table,” including Green and several other guests. Former Lakers forward A.C. Green, talks during a panel discussion during the day of service at Orville Wright STEAM Magnet Middle School.Another panelist, Kimberlé Crenshaw, a law professor at UCLA and Columbia University, told the crowd that she was 10 years old when King was assassinated in 1968. The next day, Crenshaw recalled, she and several other students were corralled into a church, where volunteers asked them if they had anything they wanted to share about King.

Democratic hopefuls march together in honor of MLK Day amid campaign squabblesCandidates gave remarks at an annual civil rights rally held in South Carolina's capital with weeks to go before the 'first in the South' primary. Too bad they don’t embrace his ideas of acceptance and tolerance for all regardless of creed or color, non-violence, and the embrace of Jesus as teacher and savior. The woke progressives in the Democratic Party would have hated him today. How cool is this? Nothing but love, kindness and respect.
