A Mississippi man is scheduled to appear in court on Monday for a bond hearing, and if things go his way, he could return home for the first time in more than 20 years.

Court documents filed by McDuff show arguments he plans to make to persuade Loper to allow Flowers to leave jail.McDuff points to a state law that says anyone who's been tried twice for a capital offense, and each trial has resulted in a failure of the jury to agree on the defendant's guilt or innocence, shall be entitled to bail.

Flowers had no criminal record before his arrest. He cooperated with law enforcement through the investigation and did not try to hide from police, continuing to perform in public with his gospel group after allegations against him were made public, the motion states .

This is one case of many where justice will be made right this great news for him

Well, if he was found guilty by the jurors there must have been evidence pointing to his guilt, no? Unless you are saying they were all racist jurors. That's the thing about being racist; they arrest someone for being black & the real killer walks.

We hear abt wrongful convictions & long prison terms unjustly endured by innocents, yet we still sentence ppl to death, knowing our judgements are imperfect. This is only 1 of MANY reasons I'm against DeathPenalty. If even 1 innocent is executed, it's too many. realDonaldTrump
