The body of Northern Arizona University professor Yeon-Su Kim has been found after she and her husband were reported missing during a kayaking trip in Mexico’s Sonora state.

A local fishing boat near Puerto Peñasco found Kim’s body Sunday in the Gulf of California, according to a verified GoFundMe page established to raise funds to aid the search for Kim and her husband, Corey Allen. “Today was an incredibly sad day,” a Sunday update to the GoFundMe page read. “Earlier this afternoon, a local fishing boat came upon Yeon-Su’s body south and east of Puerto Peñasco.

“We are keeping up the search for Corey, remaining hopeful that we might find him,” according to a Sunday update from the Kim / Allen family, according to the GoFundMe page organizer. The civil protection agency of the Mexican state of Sonora tweeted a body “with characteristics similar to one of the two missing persons” had been found, but did not identify which.

Arizona couple goes missing while kayaking in Mexico on ThanksgivingCorey Allen and Yeon-Su Kim of Flagstaff, Arizona, went missing on Thanksgiving while on a kayaking trip in Rocky Point, Mexico, according to Mexican officials. Why do Americans still think it’s a good idea to visit Mexico? Lots of Americans have gone missing in Mexico recently Probably not a wise idea to go kayaking in the ocean all by yourself. Too many unknowns. Gilligan’s Island was a far-fetched tv show that was good comedy only. This loss at sea is not comedy. They could be adrift anywhere.

Passenger found with gunshot wound after car crash in Northern LibertiesBy luck, the collision happened in front of a firehouse and the medics there were able to help. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the victim was black and so was the shooter. It's cultural behavior that is very prevalent in the black community.
