A 20-year-old Oakland man drowned at Sandy Beach in Rio Vista late Wednesday afternoon.Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area just before 4 p.m. for a report that the man had gone into the water but had not come out.
The victim had been spending the day with family and had jumped in near the dock to go swimming, Solano Sheriff’s Sgt. Rex Hawkins said.At press time, the search was continuing.
