Plus: Can I wear a fur jacket to a ’70s party?

My massage therapist called me on the phone to cancel my appointment because she was sick. I was in the bathroom at the time, so I didn’t get to talk to her, I just heard the message.appointment and refunding the balance on my prepaid account.

I was flabbergasted. Since when am I required to make a phone call back when the one received was a clear message? Am I ignorant about new manners related to new technology? A confirmation call and sympathy for her illness would have been kind, but not obligatory — and certainly not worthy of a lifelong ban in their absence.: I own several rental properties. Good tenants can be hard to find, but I have a fantastic younger couple renting one of my properties.

The lady of the house called me to say she was expecting their first child and asked for permission to paint the bedroom that will be the nursery. Of course I congratulated her, and gave her permission to paint the room any cheerful color she likes!
