Many millionaires support a wealth tax — as long as they aren’t getting hit by the tax themselves. Here are the results of our Q4 Millionaire Survey.

A majority of millionaires support a wealth tax on those worth $50 million or more, but their support declines for a tax on those worth $10 million, according to a new poll.

Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren's tax plan includes a tax of 2% on wealth over $50 million and 6% over $1 billion. Fifty-nine percent of millionaires said they would support a new federal tax on wealth over $50 million, according to the Q4 CNBC Millionaire Survey. Democratic presidential candidateForty-eight percent opposed a wealth tax on those worth over $10 million.

As for their own tax burden, most millionaires feel like they pay enough already. Fully 60% feel they pay their fair share of taxes, and a third believe they pay more than their fair share. Republican millionaires are more likely to feel they pay enough or too much.

The Democrat Idiocy Disease

Those two aren’t mutually exclusive

Still won't talk about debt

I'm nearly a half millionaire these days...does my opinion count?

Notable the the Democrats spoke of the economy and the Republicans spoke of the market. They are not the same thing and are not usually in lockstep.

Like Bush retired with a crisis. Obama took 8 years to recover it. Trump reaped the fruits of a growing economy. And the cycle continues. If the economy continues to grow, Trump will win for 2nd term. If the economy crashes, Democrats will win white house.

Here’s to all the libs having a shitty year as they clutch what little money they have. 🥂

More Democrats seem to be more autistic.

Ha...well dems said there would be a recession in 2018 and 2019 and tried to scare the market into one with negative results...so I think I know who I’m going with on this one...CNBC is such a loser network...

That's because the Dems think they will have the majority and the presidency in 2020. Dont blame their negative outlook. Feel the Burn.

I'm here for some Phase 2 trade talks going well rallies on trade deal optimism.

The economy and the market are two different things. You should delete this tweet and start over. I once witnessed a Professor tear up a students paper and throw it in the trash.

Good for the rich, bad for the poor

Wealth tax never worked. It’s better a hard inheritance tax.

Is this the same 2/3 from your previous Tweet who don’t support Trump, or is this just more propaganda?

How do you prove wealth without invasion of privacy?

LOL, of course

New taxes are always sold as taxing some small segment of the population that isn't YOU. The revs will always be spent on 'good' things like education and reducing homelessness. Eventually the new tax spreads out to the larger base and ends up being spent on stuff like bombs.

This seems like promising news for the Warren campaign

maybe she will make a difference

A tax policy that is based on how much money a person had accumulated will always tax people who worked longer hours and people who saved more rather than spent more.

Tax policies that based on how much money a person had accumulated are age-discrimination policies. You will always tax retired senior people more than taxing young adults.

This is a 'Charitable Tax' to help those who CAN NOT move forward on their own (multitude of reasons), or WILL NOT. Difference between CAN and WILL is attitude. If serious about making a difference, begin the 2%-6% tax at $1 million. NOT $50M or $1B!!

Since Warren is a millionaire, will she get hit with her own tax?

They support a wealth tax yet they themselves have the power and individual freedom to give their wealth out as they please. Makes no sense. If you want others to have, GIVE, don’t take! TaxationIsTheft

This would help explain why wealthy people advocating higher taxes just don't write a check to the government above and beyond their tax burden to support their cause.

Why doesn’t anyone ever talk about taxing the Hollywood elite? Tax Kylie. She’s a “billionaire” right? Yet for some reason, she’s exempt from criticism along w the rest of the rich and famous environmental terrorists. KUWTK

Many people say they’re for expanding social programs until they get hit with the tax bill.
