Summary In Damsel, Princess Elodie's kingdom is in ruins, struggling to support their subjects when a potential savior emerges. When Elodie is engaged to the prince of a wealthy kingdom, she believes the problems of her family and home may be solved. However, an insidious darkness within this new kingdom threatens everything when Elodie is used as part of a ritual. With her life in danger, Elodie will need to step up and save herself instead of waiting for someone to come to her rescue.

A lot of the time in this movie, you're on your own. How does your process change when you're acting in the scenes yourself versus with a scene partner?
Can you talk to me a little bit about Elodie's physical transformation and how that mirrors her internal growth? Millie Bobby Brown: JC was amazing. I really, truly haven't ever met someone like him. His vision and dedication to this project, from the tiniest details to the dragon in post-production, he has truly put himself in this. And I think that you couldn't ask for more from a director.
What did you find most surprising about Elodie's journey in this movie, especially with how the movie bucks all the traditional fantasy stereotypes?
