JPMorgan Chase is closing Finn, the app-based bank account aimed at young adults that the U.S. bank launched nationally in June 2018.
The no-fee account was piloted in St. Louis in October 2017 for millennial customers for whom “emotions played a large part in their decisions,” the bank said at the time. Finn enabled customers to rate purchases using emojis, and automatically direct funds to their savings account. JPMorgan did not say how many customers had signed up for Finn. Those who had will be transferred to Chase accounts and still be spared monthly service fees, the bank said.
