Y Combinator CEO Michael Seibel is Reddit’s newest board member, the company announced on Wednesday, after co-founder Alexis Ohanian resigned on June 5 and asked to be replaced by a black candidate amid global anti-racism protests.Getty Images for TechCrunchSeibel joins the board of the forum site five days after Ohanian stepped down in the midst of Black Lives Matter protests across the nation and cities around the world.

Seibel became the first black partner at startup accelerator Y Combinator in 2014, before becoming the firm’s CEO in 2016.
