Even though Ratajkowski isn’t a tennis girl herself, she is an admirer of the sport and the masterminds behind this edgy collaboration. “I am a major fan and love working with both Michael and Trey Laird,” Ratajkowski smiled. “Being on set in Miami with amazing creatives that I’ve had the pleasure of working on projects with in the past felt like a family reunion.”
Ratajkowski was joined at Bar SixtyFive by her campaign co-star and Brooklyn-based musician Jay Critch, among other friends of the house, including Batsheva Hay, Valentina Ferrer, Tina Leung, the Young Emperors, James Turlington, Ezra J William, and Jessica Wang. It’s no surprise that all the cool kids showed up to support the elevated athleisure collaboration, which boasts a one-of-a-kind logo fusing the Kors’ iconic brand and ellesse’s signature style. The 24-piece capsule collection offers a range of modern performance wear with a ’70s flare from tracksuits to trainers and everything in between.
As the sun began to slip towards the horizon, sweet and savory canapés were passed about the buzzing soirée. Out on the observation deck with panoramic views, guests enjoyed a glass or two of bubbly while watching the sky shift from a glowing orange to a cool blue. Soon the sun faded into the sparkling skyline while model and DJ SooJoo Park kept the party alive with her upbeat soundtrack.
