Michael Douglas and Christoph Waltz are set to play Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev in a limited series from Paramount TV Studios.
The project, which the studio will be taking out to potential buyers in the near future, is based on the bookby Reagan's former arms control director Ken Adelman.The limited series will dramatize President Reagan's and Soviet leader Gorbachev's 1986 meeting in Reykjavik, Iceland. The two-day summit was meant to be a precursor to future talks but ended up setting the stage for a comprehensive arms control agreement the following year.
