The lab’s research interest is in studying the role of nitric oxide in mediating responses to checkpoint blockade and other melanoma therapies. We are also developing tools to predict which patients will likely fail immune-based therapy via novel high dimensional flow cytometry, mass spectrometry, and informatics techniques, allowing those patients to be treated with other potentially more effective therapies.

The postdoctoral fellow is a non-tenure track researcher who assumes the direct responsibility of conducting and performing experiments or directly overseeing experimentation as part of a research team under the general guidance of Dr. Markowitz.Study resistance mechanisms to immune checkpoint blockade.General laboratory techniques such as flow cytometry, murine experiments, immunohistochemistry, immunoblots, cell culture, ELISA, proliferation assays, immunoprecipitation, informatics.Ph.D. or M.
