Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex has won her latest media battle against British newspaper the Mail on Sunday.

Meghan subsequently brought a claim in the U.K.’s high court against the newspaper for breach of copyright and invasion of privacy. Earlier this year her legal team, believing her case to be strong, made a move to obtain summary judgment, which means asking the judge to hand down a verdict without a trial.Last month the Mail on Sunday appealed the ruling.

After emails between her and Knauf were put before the court which showed Meghan had instructed her private secretary have discussions with the authors, Meghan apologized to the court in a statement, saying: “I apologize to the Court for the fact that I had not remembered these exchanges at the time. I had absolutely no wish or intention to mislead the Defendant or the Court.”

Wonderful. Meghan took the racist & xenephobic British establishment like dailymail, chew them up & spat them out like the germs that they are. Bravo

Fight hate, well done Duchess. It takes absolute balls of titanium to do what you did. Highly admired. Never cower and hide from your detractors, fight

Congratulations 🎊 F-bullies!

She won only because her father had more of the letter published, if it had been just one paragraph she would have lost. She still LIES!!!

Meghan Markle's statement about the win included what I understand to be a pointed reference to the 'daily fail'. If true, it is a shame that she was unable to celebrate this in a more dignified way without the immature & smug taunt. This is what children do. Oh dear

The tabloids put on a defence & appealed which stretched out the legal process and as they did so, continued to profit from reporting this, as they will continue to do.

This clarifies the law & asserts privacy rights but it is a Pyrrhic victory for Meghan. It has undermined her credibility for some, revealed how she can be calculating about eliciting sympathy from the public's heartstrings & it has cost much more than she could ever be awarded

Damn right!

A huge congratulations to Meghan Markle for rightfully standing up for herself and to her amazing team of lawyers.

PaganTrelawney STOPtrashtabloids The true won! Justice finally is here.

As she should. She's endured years of lies, smears and briefings against her. The paper even got 'volunteered' help from one of the palaces. This turned out to be an own goal as it actually helped her in the end. Now the paper owes her an apology and a payment.

Mimizwei Thanks for sharing
