Meghan Markle is heading back to the small screen. Representatives for the Duchess of Sussex confirmed to Vogue that she has a new show with Netflix currently in production. While still untitled, it “will celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship,” their office said in a statement. The news was first reported in Deadline. It will be directed by Michael Steed , who previously worked on the Emmy-winning series Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown.
“Known primarily for its aesthetic and social scene, the series will pull the curtain back on the grit and passion of the sport, capturing players and all it takes to compete at the highest level,” the statement read. The show-runner is Miloš Balać, best known for Welcome to Wrexham, an FX series following the Welsh football club Wrexham A.F.C. While the details are still vague, if the description echoes a Drive to Survive-style docuseries, that’s likely no coincidence.
