Meghan Markle’s British Vogue Issue Is The ‘Fastest-Selling’ In The Magazine’s History

has helped steer publisher Condé Nast to financial health, since he took the helm from Alexandra Shulman in 2017. Condé Nast reported pretax profits of £2.7 million in 2018, up from a £13.5 million loss in the year before.: September is usually the biggest month for fashion magazines, as it ushers in the new season. But magazine readership as a whole is down dramatically in the U.K.

Some 820 million magazines were sold in 2011, across titles, compared with 373 million in 2018, according to Statista.: The figures point to the influence of the royal touch and particularly that of Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, who stepped back from royal duties last month along with husband Prince Harry. The couple are pursuing a financially independent life and are dividing their time between Canada and the U.S., but will reportedly return to the U.K.

Well deserved! She would be on Forbes Fortunes list some day.
