The theme for the collection is symbiosis. I hope to create a symbiotic way to find a balance between objects and life, [to] give life to clothes; make [them] parasitic on the human body, and become one. First, I looked for the most widely used industrial materials in our lives: plastic products and silicone products. These are the materials that best reflect the foreign body and artificial feeling of industrial products for me.
The collection was inspired by the time my home was almost engulfed in the flames of a house fire, a tragic experience, and yet it translated into fantastical shirts that act like window blinds and dresses that look like carpets. Fashion doesn’t have to be so serious all the time.Pretty tongue in cheek. I don’t shy away from darker subjects, but it’s through this light approach to life that my ideas shine through.
