Meet the District 3 candidates: Identify one missed opportunity in District 3

Between now and the November election, Mission Local is asking each District 3 candidate one question per week, and candidates will get 100 words to respond. We will compile all responses to the 40-odd questions on a “ have filed to run for the seat to lead District 3, which includes North Beach, Chinatown, Union Square, the Financial District, Russian Hill and Nob Hill. Supervisor Peskin has failed in many areas, but one area specific he has failed at is Public Safety.

As Supervisor, I will insist that residents and local businesses are empowered to participate in land use decisions. I vehemently oppose efforts to systematically remove public input from these decisions, as we saw in 2022’s Proposition D and many laws removing …D3 has one of the highest percentage of renters and Supervisor Peskin has been one of the best advocates for renters, including the long overdue restriction on tax pass through law last month.
