is innately answering those demands with her namesake brand Elliss. “I design for those who want to wear something special and unique, but also want to be comfortable and able to wear the same piece on many occasions,” the Generation Next designer tells“Most of my dresses could be worn on a lazy day or a Zoom call as well as for a cocktail in the city.” With delightfully whimsical prints in universally flattering silhouettes, Elliss toes the delicate line between casual and cool.
Annahstasi wears Elliss. “I first heard Annahstasia's music during lockdown and it really spoke to me, she has the most stunning voice and writes beautiful lyrics. I was also very impressed by her visual and eye for art direction,” says the designer.At age 20 Solomon decided she wanted to pursue fashion design as a career, eventually graduating from Central Saint Martins with a degree in women's fashion design. During her time there she was able to develop her own unique design style.
Her perspective has changed completely. “I am the kind of person that thinks I need to reply to an email immediately when I see it, or I get quite anxious," she says. "This whole situation has made me realize that you can take a little time with things and work doesn’t always have to go at a million miles an hour.” Slowing down is the bread and butter for the Elliss brand, and now Solomon personally, meaning she goes on daily walks with her dog and enjoys being outside in nature.
Giulia wears Elliss. “Giulia is an amazing figurative collage artist, who references the female form, a focus I also share! She also references architecture and interiors which are my two loves,” says the designer.
