A pilot crash-landed a medical helicopter without casualties in a residential area of suburban Philadelphia. The helicopter avoided a web of power lines and buildings as the aircraft hit the street and slid into bushes outside a church.

None of the four people on board, including an infant, sustained life-threatening injuries, Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy M. Bernhardt said at a press conference, adding that he was eager to shake the pilot’s hand for getting the helicopter down the way they did.

The infant was taken to a hospital as authorities worked to notify the child’s family, Bernhardt said. The flight originated out of state. Jerrell Saunders, 28, said he had was walking from his work in maintenance at an apartment building nearby when he saw the helicopter “just floating, like real low, like extremely low, like it could land on the building that I work at.”

The skill it must have taken to miss wires, vehicles etc.. and save everyone on board. What a pilot. I'm praying everyone heals quickly. 🙏💗💗💗🙏

China locks down third city, raising affected to 20 million | AP NewsBEIJING (AP) — A third Chinese city has locked down its residents because of a COVID-19 outbreak, raising the number confined to their homes in China to about 20 million people. It wasn't clear how long the lockdown of Anyang city, home to 5.5 million, would last as a notice said it was being done to facilitate mass testing but did not indicate if it would end when the testing is completed. payback For those whining about wearing masks at the store, this is what a real lockdown looks like. You’re fine. And theyve definitely done it because of a covid outbreak and definitely not for marburg or some crazy jazz, yeah?

How fleeting choices, circumstances doomed 17 in Bronx fire | AP NewsNEW YORK (AP) — It started as just another January morning, the damp chill prompting a family on the third floor of a drafty Bronx apartment tower to run a space heater for extra warmth, as residents had done countless times before. 'If only the heat inside apartment 3N had been sufficient.' This is not NEARLY enough of a sentence AP. Because apartment 3N wasn't the ONLY place in that building where the heat wasn't 'sufficient'. But you know that. So I'm curious whose bidding your doing, and why? If only the landlords had some kind of accountability. If only we had Universal Basic Income, cradle-to-grave healthcare, safe housing as a human right, and top-notch public education. These should be our national priorities as citizens and human beings, not war and profiteering. That’s what I call liberty and justice for all.
