A McDonald’s McDouble cheeseburger, small fries, four-piece chicken nuggets, and a small soft drink will be available as part of the new $5 meal deal. OCR-L-MCDONALDS-0521, but the fast food giant is just now releasing the details as part of a “Summer of Value” promotion.
But in small print on the news release, it says McDouble meal options may be priced at $6 at select restaurants in California and other locations including Nevada, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii and Guam. Some Southern California franchisees will have their own offers, such as $1.49 soft drink specials, according to an email accompanying the news release.In more fine print, the news release reads, “Local deals and offers will vary, as McDonald’s franchisees are independent business owners who set their own pricing.”
