The mayors of Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Ore., Albuquerque, N.M., Washington, D.C., and Kansas City, Mo., signed on to the letter that criticized the administration for sending"unidentified federal agents to operate with impunity" in cities where demonstrations against police brutality and racism continue.

"This administration's egregious use of federal force on cities over the objections of local authorities should never happen."

they cant either. it falls under the executive branch only , federal police = executive authority of policing powers.

If you were trying to be in the least honest, you would have also put quotes around this 'protests against police brutality and racism'....because these leftist anarchists appropriated that agenda about six weeks ago now.

The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people. Martin Luther King, Jr. I think we all are changing history.

They are 'identified' The Mayors are lying and so is NPR for not reporting that little fact.

But they are identified

And to follow are forced disappearances/kidnappings, torture, politically motivated arrests. Police officers are attacking their own countrymen and women. Glory be to the people fighting against these roaches who claim to be serving the community.

So Democrats want people to tear there cities to peices makes sense

6 mayors who are unfit to run a burning city don't want a presidents assistance and instead want their city to burn.

It’s like a hall pass to go out and bully intimidate beat and terrorize the people protesting against this same very brutal behavior by law enforcement across the country.

Are any of these mayors following MrAndyNgo feeds? You want to stop these riots or you don’t. These federal buildings aren’t burning themselves. PortlandProtest PortlandRiots justmoms

They are not protesting racism, that is a liberal myth.

BLM AND ANTIFA=COMMUNISTS AND TERRORISTS

Except they are NOT unidentified! If the Marxist rioters just went one block down the road they’d see no Feds! This is just bad reporting, lies. Wake up people!

Arrest the SS cops.

Propaganda and paid for media by the democrats.

Again these are not “unidentified federal agents” or “secret police”, they are part of homeland security. Their from CBP, FBI, FPS, HSI, DEA or US Marshals, but they all fall under the category of homeland security. Nothing secret about them and they aren’t some new police force.

Let me guess, all 6 are Democrats If Mayor's & Governor's had a handle on the rioting & vandelism, DHS would not have been sent. It's really not that difficult to understand. PortlandProtest PortlandRiots OregonGovBrown

Deprivation of Rights under color of law.

How about Democrats Democrats enabling Trump by increasing his military budget and renewing the Patriot Act with indefinite detention . Good luck destroying the monster they all created

Make NPR explain why Rioters target Federal Buildings when the racist local police are their nemesis. NPRKarens can't justify the attacks on Federal employees & inaction of local officials that led to the need for Federal employees to protect themselves.

The weren't unidentified, their dept logos were subdued which makes them more difficult to identify at a distance and they were given permission to not have name tags in order to not have their homes and families targeted by violent protestors.

Yea, completely unidentified...well except for the agency patches and the fact each one has a coded name tag on......oh and the press conferences held says who they are....but other than that completely unidentified.

Driving around in a rental car minivan dressed up like video game commandos. Could be... anyone. StormTrumpers

Protests? NPR non-profit status must be revoked for lies.

I had hoped that when Fascism arrived on our doorstep that our response would have been more than the 'punchline to a joke' act of writing an angry letter. I sure hope they feel appropriately admonished while we're getting shot in the head and losing eyes.

Appreciate the thought but doubt it’s going to help. Congress hasn’t done dick so far to slow the orange menace.

If those mayors were serious, they would instruct local law enforcement to interfere in the federal troops' activities & arrest them if they resist. Force the courts to decide. Also, put the cops' surplus military gear to use; let them play with their toys of war.

They quite plainly have 'Border Patrol' patches on their arms which means they are 'identifiable'. The gaslighting needs to stop. Stop being intellectually dishonest with people.

Are you going to take a stand against tyranny or not

👁👁

These people are not protestors they are lawless rioters

Mayors ask Congress to ban deployment of militarized federal agents in cities as Trump mulls sending in moreThe mayors of six U.S. cities appealed to Congress today to make it illegal for the federal government to deploy militarized federal agents to cities that don't want them, even as the Trump administration is considering sending more of them to Portland Pretty sure it already is illegal. But if we need a poorly written statute on it that's fine for now guess. State city and citizens should attempt to identify individual federal soldiers. Modern means and hackers can get to data bases for identity matches Question: Who is supposed to protect federal buildings? Is it local law enforcement or federal agents? or is it in the mayors' plans to let the buildings burn?
