Maya Rudolph recently reflected on her first appearance on “The David Letterman Show” in 2009.

During an interview withon Friday, Oct. 28, Rudolph did not look back on the moment in her career fondly. In fact, she told the outlet outright, “I did not have a good time.”

However, she acknowledged that in the 13 years since the incident, she’s “gotten much better,” adding, “When I’m uncomfortable, I try to be funny.”Rudolph, perhaps best known for her her seven seasons and subsequent guest appearances on “Saturday Night Live,” spoke to the outlet at the top of the interview about how she struggled with all of the public-facing aspects early in her career, all of which stunted her comedy.
