Lana Wachowski is set to write and direct a fourth film set in the world of"The Matrix," with Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss reprising their roles as Neo and Trinity, respectively.
"We could not be more excited to be re-entering 'The Matrix' with Lana," said Emmerich."Lana is a true visionary — a singular and original creative filmmaker--and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing and producing this new chapter in 'The Matrix' universe." Warner Bros. has been trying for the last couple years to find a way to get back to this universe but a hold up over producing rights on who owned what slowed down the development. Over the past couple months, the studio saw a perfect storm brewing starting with Reeves super strong summer that included the box office smash hits"John Wick 3" and"Toy Story 4" and a script from Wachowski that got the studio and Reeves excited about a possible return.
Dammit. Second and third installments were unnecessary. A fourth is really bad taste.
Matrix 1 is the only matrix movie that exists
Not remotely interested. The first Matrix and the Animatrix were good. The rest were soulless Hollywood CGI monstrosities difficult to follow or care about.

FUN FACT: Carrie-Ann Moss said that she had to stop wearing sunglasses in public because they were actually helping fans recognize her, even though she was trying to use the sunglasses as a disguise...lol 😂😂

Don’t Pollute the movie with all that sentimental romance, humor, and romantic relationships. At least don’t overdo it like the past iterations. Amazing Spideman got rid of all that and focused on more serious gritty. mature tone, it helped a lot!
Keanu Reeves is a blessing to our screen. The movie Matrix is still one of the best movies to have ever graced our screen and we all cant wait to see it again.
