had arguably the most fascinating premise and hero of any of these shows, with Steven Grant — or is that Marc Spector? — doomed to share his body with “alters” in the thrall of an Egyptian deity. What isdidn’t really say; it was too busy sending Steven/Marc off on a globe-trotting chase for a bunch of MacGuffins.
Each episode has found a little time to explore Kamala’s family, her culture, and her world. Last week, we got to enjoy her brother’s wedding; this week, she has a long conversation with Sana and another with Waleed, the leader of the Red Daggers. But we’re already entering the show’s final third. In two weeks, There are worse things in the world than leaving your audience wanting more. After all, leaving your audience wanting more is basically Marvel’s business model.
No
…or better writing and directing. British shows do a lot more in seasons that are 6 episodes or less than Disney. The length of the seasons is less important than the amateur storylines and overall feel of the series. cc: GraceRandolph johncampea
I disagree about longer seasons. Could be done same number of episodes, just don’t reveal where it’s all headed in episode 6
no we don't
and give the audience a little more credit that we are able to follow the episodes without hand holding, or spoon feeding us information. If you don't get it watch ryanarey or go back and watch it again. This can be achieved with good writing!
I'd much rather have a tight six episodes that keep a pace (ticking clock), great storytelling (each episode is needed)and a bigger budget (which doesn't always mean better, but enough to make it look good) than filler episodes with more exposition dumps. Leave them wanting more.
I think shows should have the time they need to tell their stories. Kenobi dragged on and felt filler-y. Others felt rushed. Let the show dictate the episode count, not the count dictate the pacing.
Nope. All it will do is waterdown the quality.
It’s so frustrating that they have the flexibility of their own stinking network and still fumbling the opportunity. Hopefully they learn.
I bet its a money issue
Yes, please!
I think they will when the the season 2’s start to drop.
No they shouldn't, have you forgotten about the Netflix Marvel shows? Those were way too long and you could tell the writers ran out of ideas half through each season.
Nah, six episodes is perfect. It's a three act story. Like a really long film. People would complain if there were filler episodes. This way, we can move onto something else before it gets boring. There's always the possibility of a 2nd season if they want to make more. 👍
Agreed, six is too short, you have to sandwich in so much b4 end of the szn. In contrast, the Marvel Netflix shows were 13 ep szns which were waaaayyy too long.
