Marvel Demands Instagram to Reveal Captain America: Brave New World Leaker’s Identity

The account reportedly “published a copyrighted image from an upcoming Marvel Studios motion picture, ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ without authorization.” As a result, Marvel filed for a court order as per the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.While some of the scoops shared on both accounts were incorrect, others turned out to be true, including the one where she correctly revealedCaptain America: Brave New World a month before Marvel’s announcement.

Now, Marvel wishes to find out the identity of the anonymous user. Furthermore, Marvel’s VP of global security and content protection, Matthew Slatoff, also made a statement supporting the subpoena. He revealed that a senior paralegal at Walt Disney Co. also alerted Instagram about the alleged Captain America: Brave New World leaker sharing the copyrighted image in an Instagram Story. Instagram has yet to comment on the story while the account in question remains to be active.
