NASA Mars lander InSight falls silent after 4 years“It's assumed InSight may have reached the end of its operations,” NASA said. InSight was the first spacecraft to document a marsquake. I don’t know that I will ever understand the fascination with exploring Mars when our planet is so F’ed up. Shot after shot of dirt and what might have been. I only see wasted resources that could have been used on this planet. 🤷♂️ I guess the next robotic explorer will have to take a unit that is capable of absorbing motion to be a source of alternate energy for an InSite explorer; and maybe have a brush to clean planetary dust from solar panels. But I'm sure the designers have thought of this before.
