The singer says she hopes the country music scene can become more inclusive.

If it were up to Maren Morris, the country music industry would be a lot more inclusive, and the singer is determined to use her platform to enact real change.

Morris said she's been doing her own research on matters of race and bias in the past few years, especially following the death of George Floyd, and said that her industry, like many others, could make some improvements. "For me, it's just like, you know what, I have to think about my son and the people in my circle going forward — who I write with, who I employ — and think, you know, 'Am I making room for everybody?'" she said.

You can't make something happens that isn't there. Yes, I agree there are so many great black artists but let's not lump them all together into country. I love all of country music, no matter ther color. We need to love and appreciate all artists!

Its already BLACK lol, it is just some won't and don't recognize. Its all good because we know and thats all that matters

A lot of bigots will hate that. Remember when ppl got pissed at Beyoncé for singing with The Dixie Chicks even though she's a Texan?
