A 36-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman are in critical condition after crashing into a large boulder on the East Side . San Antonio police were called to a major accident and a shooting around 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 3800 block of Belgium Lane , near Interstate 35 . Officers believe that the unidentified man and woman were traveling in a black Nissan Altima at a high rate of speed on a one-way road when they crashed into a large boulder.
Schertz police investigating woman's fatal shooting After striking the boulder, the vehicle caught fire but drivers passing by helped both get out of the vehicle before the fire started, police said. Police also found gun shell casings at the scene. The man and woman were unable to provide a statement because of the severity of their injuries, police said.
