According to police, the dead man apparently"became involved in an altercation with a female passenger" on the bus before the man who was charged restrained him for several minutes A man who allegedly caused fatal injuries to another passenger aboard an MTS bus in downtown San Diego pleaded not guilty Tuesday to an involuntary manslaughter charge.
Edward Hilbert, 55, is accused in the April 30, 2022, death of 28-year-old Anthony Mcgaffe, who died about an hour after police say they were called in response to"a violent disturbance" aboard a bus in the area of 1400 F St. The man who stepped in to stop a fight on an MTS bus is heading to court and may face a murder charge. NBC 7's Nicole Gomez shares what we know so far.
Police said Mcgaffe was found lying on the floor of the bus, unresponsive. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Wow, story is unclear but sounds like a man stepped in to protect a woman from some random violent stranger & when the attacker died they arrested the protector. You'd better provide more detail because there isn't a women in SD who wouldn't be grateful for protection on MTS.
This is why people don’t do anything. When they do, they’re charged. Busses have cameras. Release the footage
