On May 12, the Texas Department of Public Safety was notified by the Walker County Sheriff’s Department about a 13-year-old girl who was reported as a runaway two days earlier in the East Texas county. The sheriff’s department tracked a device believed to be in the girl’s possession to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, a DPS special agent wrote in an arrest-warrant affidavit.
